Mission and Vision
Every student has the right to be affirmed and supported at school, but many queer* and trans students are still denied these rights. When students are free to learn without discrimination, the entire school community thrives. Just Schools advocates, educates, and organizes for inclusive schools where queer and trans students are valued and inspired to reach their full potential.
We envision a future where all queer and trans students are safe, affirmed and able to thrive in schools.
* We use the word queer to reflect the wide range of LGBTQIA2S+ identities and experiences of young people today. While the term carries a complex history, many students have reclaimed it as a source of pride, power, and possibility, and we honor the language young people use to name themselves.
