Our Evolution

Just Schools grew from more than two decades of organizing as GLSEN Arizona. As coordinated efforts to target queer and trans students escalated, we became an independent statewide organization built for rapid response, sustained organizing, and long term change.

We are rooted in Arizona’s K–12 communities and committed to protecting students and transforming the systems that shape their lives.

This new chapter allows us to collaborate more deeply, respond to the needs of Arizona’s K–12 communities, and build school environments where queer and trans students are safe, affirmed, and free to thrive.
